H.K. Series 86 stamp by Midas. This particular tool can be used as a left or as a right tool. Tool is in new condition, but may have been used. Across tool face is aproximately 5/8" across. Handle is 3.75" long and 3/8" diameter - thick heavy clean handle. Stamps from this series are listed as 8601-8636. However the tool only has stamped on it the last two digits of the number (ie -01-36). The tools are also stamped "Taiwan" on them. But don't let that fool you, they came with an unconditional lifetime guarantee at the time of original purchase. The H.K. Series stamps of fine leathercraft tools were made by Midas in the 80's-90's. They were unique tool designs that had been previously designed by Kelly and McMillen Tools as well as others. They were sold at the time with an unconditional lifetime guarantee and were sold by the Leather Factory. See the included picture from a 1991 buyers guide.

About Us
I'm just a little guy.  I'm a teacher by day, a full time father of 7 (audible gasp), and a leather tool dealer by night.   I started selling tools as a way to make ends meet.  I went to scout camp with one of my boys and did the leather working merit badge. Before I knew it, I had to have some tools.  More tools led to too many tools.  LOL.  Wife said I had to sell some to pay for all the extra activities my kids do and my extra curricular activities (Mexico Humanitarian Trip each December).  Tools are fun and tools help make friends.  I've met some great people selling tools.  The leather work business is filled with the best people.
