The Beatles Vintage 8" x 10" Color Photo (Fan Club?) | Very Good +
In 2014, I purchased a collection of Beatles recordings from the estate of one of the Beatles original adult fans. He built his collection from 1971 until his passing in 1993. These recordings remained on a shelf until 2014 and they have been boxed in a climate-controlled environment ever since. According to his wife, while he couldn't always afford to purchase unopened recordings he sought as near to perfect discs as he could find. Of course, eBay and the like didn't exist at that time, so his collection was personally reviewed and picked before purchase.
His wife also said that he was always on the lookout for specialty releases, promotional copies, live recordings and works that represented the history of the Beatles as a group and as individual performers.
Looks like he did a pretty good job.
Turns out that he was also a member of the Beatles Fan Club and saved the related paper and purchases that he made from the club…and the newsstand and anywhere else that he could find photos and information.
