This auction is for a early picture of John Lennon and The Quarrymen taken circa 1956, assuming that this was taken before John and Paul had met.
I attended several Beatles conventions for over 30 years in
Toronto
,
Detroit
,
Chicago
, and in
Kansas City
. I met various surviving members of the original Quarrymen at these conventions and had them sign the CD’s that I purchased of theirs at their table that they had released.
The last convention I attended (and they were not present at) I bought this photo, from a photo dealer, to have on hand and get all of survivors to sign the next time that I would meet each one individually as convention guests, or all together as the group. Unfortunately, I never did.
Along with my entire Beatles collection that I am selling, I am selling this high gloss B&W 8x10 photograph of the original Quarrymen.
There are no surface scratches or any other damage on this photograph. I have even scanned the backside of the photo, even though blank white, just to show there is no writing or flaws on the back.
