Rare cut quartz slice from the tailings of 1800s Ore knob Copper Mine, North Carolina. USA. An old closed non-operating mine which no longer produces any ore in the located in Blue Ridge Mountains of N.C. Large pockets and veins of silver with some gold embedded in a quartz matrix. Spectacular rare mix from a historic mine that in the produced copper and iron in the 1800s to mid 1900s. This specimen came from the 1800s shaft. 71/2" long, 3 1/2" wide, 3/4" thick.
