Gold Nugget with Worn Octahedron Twin Crystals

This gold nugget still displays visible crystal growth formations after being worn down in the Bonanza Creek for thousands of years. The specimen shows spinel twin gold crystals running roughout the native gold nugget. The crystals are very large and octahedron with some being cubed. Some parts of the gold still have the original lustrous crystal growth surface which was protected by a thick layer of clay which has been cleaned off to display its true beauty.
