    Description

    Decorative Bookbinding  Roll--3" diameter brass roll on a 12" wooden handle.  The pattern alternates a flower like ornament with a lozenge ornament for decorative embossing on leather, vellum, cloth, suede, etc.  As a roll type device, it can be used for a repeated pattern of any length.  It has been used as a decorative pattern roll  for bookbinding by heating the roll and embossing the pattern on to leather, suede and backcloth of all types.
