    Description

Thank you for viewing my listing!
Up for auction are items that I received from the Julian Lennon Fan Club, “Thumbs Up Int’l”, when I joined in 1984.
I received a welcome letter from “Thumbs Up, Int’l” when I joined. I later then ordered a B&W photo of Julian. They both were not sent together when I joined Julian Lennon’s club. They were mailed separately.
The welcome kit came with issue volume 1 #1 of the fan clubs publication ‘Thumb Print’, the newsletter book that was sent to members that joined. The booklet has 16 pages of B&W photos of Julian and his band, as well as current information of Julian’s whereabouts and what he is doing. At the upper right corner of the booklet there is a ‘bend’ like as if something or someone had bent the corner backwards at one time. The bend measures 2.5” in length. It is barely visible in the photo. Other than that bend, the booklet has no tear, rips, writing, or stains. All pages are intact, and the binding is still strong.
The B&W photo of Julian measures 8” x 9.75”. I had ordered it couple months after the welcome kit arrived. Julian’s signature at the bottom of the picture is not real. This photo and signature was mass-produced for fan club members. The photo looks like it’s new. There are no stains, writings, rips, or tears on the photo; however there are 4 small indentations where it appears that something had been laid on the photo at one time. The largest indent is 0.5” and is at the lower left front of picture. See photo.
Next is a welcome letter that I had received. The first page is welcoming me as a fan. The paper has yellowed from age. The second page is a ordering form for fans to order official Julian Lennon merchandise. The order form is printed on blue paper. Both pages have no stains, rips, tears, creases, or fold marks other than the folding off the letter. It has a single staple holding the pages together. The staple is not loose and still firmly intact.
Also in this auction is the envelope that I received the welcome letter in. The only damage to the envelope is where I used a letter opener to slice the top open. There is a small tear at the top backside of the envelope where my opener snagged on the paper. I have laid a piece of paper over the address; it is not glued not taped on.
As I mentioned earlier, the signature on Julian's B&W photo is not real but a copy for the mass-marketing of the photo for promotions. The signature on the welcome letter is questionable. Several
    people
have told me that it is real, and several people have told me that it is not.
Whoever signed it used a felt-tip black pen. I don't get COA's for the less popular celebrities because the cost of getting a COA is
    usually
greater than the sale at the end of the auction. This is why I started the auction with a low opening bid price because I don't know.
I am selling my entire collection of everything Beatles and each members solo projects. Please add me to your list. I try to list weekly.
